Amazing fishing excursion! This was a rescheduled family trip from 2020 for a group of 10. Half went salmon fishing with Drew, the others halibut fishing with Hunter. Right from the start, the staff at Oasis Alaska Charters was very responsive - they answered my emails in a timely fashion (usually within minutes!) The shuttle service from the cruise terminal was very convenient and reasonably priced - definitely recommended. Our fishing experience was amazing - looking forward to the arrival of our fish! We had a great time!

Great fishing We fished for 2 full days caught halibut and pinks and a couple silvers the first day and the second we caught 2 keeper kings and had to return 6 more they were not big enough. Halibut Heaven!!! Fished two half day trips with Josh and caught a limit of halibut both days. What a blast. even did a little salmon trolling. Great guide and a nice person. Don't forget to tip 10-20%. Gas is expensive and the cost of living in AK is high.

Customer event We have for the past few years worked with Oasis for our Alaska customer fishing trip. Mark, Joanne and their boat captains have been wonderful for us and have accommodated all of our requests. Great experience from great people! Top Notch people, top Notch fishing. We were running late on our cruise ship because somebody on the ship needed to be airlifted to a hospital. Thankfully the crew over at Oasis was alerted, and were extremely accommodating to our needs. We were promptly picked up at the port, and were sent out with a great captain that put us on the fish! Another successful charter with Oasis This is a great little charter company. They have a good website full of information and make booking and paying for everything easy. This is my second charter with Oasis and also the second time out with Captain Murray. Capt. Murray is a great guy, full of hustle and always on the fish. He has a great network of fellow Captains to draw from but I think they mostly draw from him. The re-power on their boat has made it a perfect charter boat for fishing and when the Chaos hits with 3 and 4 on at a time their is ample room for you and the Captain to get the job done. Catch of a Lifetime My wife and I booked Oasis instead of the Cruise line offerings and had an awesome trip. Mark and JoAnn were great to work with and everything was exactly as they had promised. The boat, gear and Captain Matt were all first class. We took the 6 hour Halibut and Salmon trip and limited out on Pinks in less than an hour. In addition to the 100 pound plus Halibut my wife landed, we caught Cod, Rock fish, shark and several other species (35 fish total). Captain Matt is a fun, hard working guy who really knows his business and I would highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters.

Great fishing experience Fabulous experience. There were 6 of us, 3 nonfisher-persons. We had a lot of fun. I do with there was a bit more instruction. We didn't really know how to hold the poles correctly, but after a bit of instruction from someone else on the boat,we were good to go. The fish were biting like crazy. Would highly recommend.

INCREDIBLE FISHING EXPERIENCE Oasis Alaska Charters recently hosted a group of Disabled Veterans from Purple Heart Anglers. The treatment was superb, and the gear and boats are first rate. The Captains, Matt and Murray, are extremely qualified anglers and get you on some incredible fishing. Their skills ensured everyone on-board experienced what Alaska salmon fishing should be. The owner Mark Andrew and his wife made sure our experience was "first class". Any future trips to Ketchikan will definitely include a few days with Oasis Alaska Charters. Hunter Is a Fishing Fool! Booked a 6 hour charter with Hunter. Super cool guy that lives to fish! We didn't have our lines out 3 minutes and we had a triple of salmon on. Trolled until the tide was right then anchored for the halibut bite. Ended up with 19 keepers and threw back at least that many sub legal fish. I've fished all over the world and this young man will get you on the fish. You will not be disappointed with this outfit!

Oasis Full Day Fished one day with Hunter and another day with Murray. Both were full day charters and we did great with both captains. Weather was bad on the day with Hunter so we were unable to go for halibut but we limited on coho salmon. Weather was better with Murray and we limited on both salmon and halibut. Ketchikan 2024 My nephews and I had two wonderful days fishing with Captain Hunter. He is friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. Day 1 we caught our limits of everything. Day 2 caught limits of halibut and rockfish. Kings were a little harder to find, but Hunter worked hard and we caught 2 and lost more. I'm looking forward to next year.

Almost I understand Oasis cannot control the weather. They could however warn you ahead of time that conditions are not favorable and give you a chance to cancel or re-book. It was only after we left the dock that I was told the we could not fish for halibut. And that salmon are very tough to catch in the windy rainy weather.So I spent $700 to catch ONE fish.And the snaks were a couple tiny bags of chips.Very disappointing.

Great salmon fishing trip! Our family had a wonderfully successful fishing trip on Oasis Alaska Charters, with the friendly and able guidance of Captain Thomas. We caught 17 salmon on a beautiful summer day in Ketchikan!

Halibut fishing charter We were extremely pleased with the whole experience. Captain Logan was very accommodating, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to give the 4 of us a very wonderful trip. We caught 2 Halibuts that were of the keep able size. He took us out to deeper water, where we landed a100lb halibut that we were required to release. It was really a lot of fun brining in a large halibut from a depth of 500ft. I think letting people know in advance of booking a halibut charter, that they will not be able to keep a larger halibut would be a better policy. You did a great job!Thank youBob Dersé

We had a great time with Captain Murray! We had a short trip to Clover Pass from the Cruise Port and quickly got on our boat with Captain Murray. We were catching fish within minutes and quickly caught our limit of salmon. I even caught a nice halibut before we ran out of time. We would love to do it again sometime.

Ketchikan Fishing Excursion We had a great time, the weather was perfect, our guide was awesome (Thomas) and we caught a bunch of fish that we had fed-ex'd home! This trip included my husband, our 2 boys (18yrs old & 19 yrs old) and a couple of friends! I would recommend this excursion to anyone.

Salmon fishing at its best Our group of 5 had a great experience. After a short taxi from the cruise ship we were greeted as soon as we arrived and within minutes were fishing. Our Guide could not have been any better. She was a pleasure to spend time with and also put us on the fish! We would highly recommend. Captain Drew Does It Again! Captain Drew was very knowledgeable and knew where the fish were! We maxed out on the quantity of salmon we could catch per day (6) in 2 hours which was awesome!

Caught our limit and then some On 8/7/21 we were blessed to get, El Capitán, Hunter as our guide. THE Hunter helped us get 12 silver (Coho) salmon, 12 pink salmon, and 2 bass. We could have caught more (and if the Hunter got his way we would have), but we didn't have the freezer space. Hunter, the fish whisperer, is a cool Hawaiian boy who grew up fishing in Hawaii. I've never met anyone as passionate about fishing and determined to help you get your moneys worth! He is extremely competitive, committed, and hard working.

The whole staff is amazing! The owner picked up our fish and brought it to the airport because we were both headed to the airport. They were willing to accommodate us on short notice and they went above and beyond to help us. I can't rave enough about our experience!

Great day fishing with some buddies Went on an all day charter with 2 friends all in our early 20's. Captain was Matt and he was an awesome dude. Told us all the ins and outs of Ketchikan, and had some crazy stories to go along with it! We caught only bottom fish but it was early so the salmon were not running yet. Highly recommend Oasis for an all day Charter, well worth the money and a super fun experience. Overall, I'd definitely swipe right.

Not as successful as I hoped Didn't catch anything.. Captain relatively new to area. Water was kinda rough that afternoon. Perhaps afternoons are not best for salmon fishing.

What a blast! Me and some buddies had the opportunity recently to take a day trip out with Oasis. Desmond and First Mate (and daughter Alexa) met us at the dock and in a short few minutes we had the paper work done and were off. Of course it was raining as it is SE Alaska in September but that did not deter from the fun of fishing that day. After only traveling out about 30 minutes Desmond sets up our poles and we're fishing. Doesn't take long at all and WHAM we are getting hits. First we pull in a nice Pink. A few minutes later after Desmond resets that bait and downriggers, two hits just seconds apart. Brought them both in! Nice Coho's. Although we did loose a few, the highlight of salmon fishing this day was having four poles in the water and having action on all four. We did manage to bring three on board! Salmon fishing was a blast but by late morning Desmond knew the salmon would stop biting and we headed a short distance and anchored 350 feet deep for halibut. WOW, never knew the action on bottom fishing! We only had a short amount of time to continue fishing but brought some cod on board as well as a 15 pound halibut. In total we hauled in 15 fish in a very short time. Dock crew were great also. Met us at the dock, hauled our fish to processing, filet them and shipped to my door when I returned. Very easy for vacationers.Hats off again to Skipper Desmond and Alexa! Great experience. You know your fishing and I can't wait to do it again!

Amazing and incredible fishing experience My daughter and I had the pleasure of fishing with Oasis in early August 2022 for Halibut and Salmon. We selected a four-hour tour as we were on an Alaskan cruise. We decided to select them as our tour guide as I believe they were the only charter offering private tours. Most of the companies combine groups and as much as I love meeting new people, the thought of sharing a boat with others didn’t interest me at all. As we were on an Alaskan cruise, we reached out to Mark and JoAnn in early March and booked ahead of time to ensure we had a spot. They were very responsive and answered our questions in a timely manner and the process of making the deposit was easy. On the day of the fishing trip, one of the owners, Mark, picked us up at the cruise port, he was on time and my daughter was excited to be graced with the presence of their dogs for the 25-minute trip to the dock. The cost of the transportation was added to the price of the tour which is standard practice. Upon arrival at the dock, I was introduced to our Captain named Hunter. He advised that I would require a fishing license for the trip so I proceeded to purchase one for $15 dollars in the shop near the dock. While I was heading back to the dock to proceed on our exciting adventure, Hunter and my daughter were fishing off the dock as there was a large school of pink salmon right beside the boat (at this point I got excited as I knew the day would be fruitful). Hunter was a great guide and amazing with my 8-year-old daughter. He was knowledgeable, patient, and overall the best Captain I have ever had the experience of deep sea fishing with. On the boat, he offered us some snacks and drinks. If you are heading out for a tour, I would recommend bringing some food onboard, just in case you do get hungry . Originally, we were brought out to fish solely for Halibut, but after hearing how well the previous group did on their morning tour we opted to fish for both Halibut and Salmon. One should remember that during these tours you’re not guaranteed to catch mass quantities of fish, so manage your expectations accordingly . Luckily, my daughter and I landed 4 Halibut, 22 pink salmon, and a Coho. In addition, I would say that we had over 20 fish that broke off the line. What an incredible experience for myself and my daughter. I was also surprised at how many double headers we had during our trip. I do wish my daughter was a bit stronger as she had a very difficult time reeling in some of the fish. Regardless, Hunter and I tried our best to make it feel like she was doing most of the work. Man, my forearms were sore the next day (a nice problem to have).To be honest, I don’t think I could have had a better day on the water. The fish were biting, the weather was great and our guide Hunter was AMAZING! If you’re looking to book a tour don’t hesitate to book with Oasis (they exceeded my expectations). They’re a well-run family company that cares for their client’s experience. I hope that I have the opportunity to share more memories with Oasis if I ever travel back to Ketchikan.

Fishing trip. We recently took an Alaskan cruise. On our Ketchikan stop we fished with Oasis. They were booked outside what the cruise offered. Took a short cab ride. They were waiting ready for us. Great trip..nice boat..great captain. It was small (only the 4 of us). The scenery was some of the best of the trip. We caught a lot if fish. When we returned to dock, they arranged processing and shipment home. Taxi waiting, then back to ship. Going back to stay and fish for a week.

Amazing fishing We booked independently from our cruise ship and had the best time. Many on ship were very dissatisfied with their experience through the cruise line. Logan, our Captain was great and knew his job well. We got our limit in two hours of halibut and then had the bonus of salmon fishing. We would like to go back and just experience Clover Pass in Ketchikan. If the charter had gone differently and we were unable to catch fish, we would have still had a blast due to the down to Earth and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Fabulous Fishing Trip We went out on Reel Therapy for 2 full days of fishing with Captain Murray just a week ago. We had an absolutely amazing time! Cpt. Murray was very knowledgeable, personable and a good instructor. We couldn't have had more fun and we caught over 200lbs of fish between the 4 of us. Thanks for a fantastic time!

Nice idea but disappointed We booked a fishing charter for a recent trip to Ketchikan. This was the big 'splurge' excursion on our seven day cruise, something my husband really wanted to do, and I booked the boat for just the 2 of us (you can have as many as 6), because we really wanted it to be special. First, I will say that Mark, the owner of the company, was very nice and easy to deal with through our email correspondence leading up to the trip. He even extended us a 10% discount he advertised for May excursions after I had already booked. The boat was kept in very nice order. We were able to obtain our fishing licenses right there and it only took a couple of minutes. But sadly we discovered the reason for the discount. There was only one other boat out on the bay. Apparently, we were the first fishing tour of the season, as season would actually not start for a another two weeks. The first time this was ever mentioned to us was by our cab driver on the way out to the boat. If the cab driver knew, you can be certain the fishing guide did as well.I was a little surprised that after boarding the boat, we travelled only a very short distance from the dock. I guess I was hoping for a little boat ride to the fishing spot, but it was right there. Ok. This was a 4 hour tour and we basically trolled back and forth within a short distance. As it turns out, the cab driver was absolutely right. We did not get a single bite from a salmon. (We caught one very small ling cod, which we fed to an eagle. (Okay, that was cool). But from everything we had read, the salmon were supposed to practically jump into the boat. I believe if we went in July, we would have caught plenty of fish and had a very happy and different experience. Like I said, nice guy, nice boat, beautiful scenery, but no fish. None. Between the cost of the charter, the tip, the license, and the $80 round trip cab ride from ship, the 4 hours ended up costing about $600 for the two of us. And I had to stop at the supermarket when I got home to buy some salmon. Now I realize that there is no guarantee that you will catch anything. I was told several times that that's why they call it 'fishing' and not 'catching'. But that is also why they call themselves 'guides", not 'tenderfoots'. I think as an experienced captain, Mark should have known the fish weren't running at all yet. Everyone in town knew. Knowing there would be no fish, we should have had an opportunity to cancel and take advantage of another excursion. Or, I think he could/should have realized at some point that there was nothing running (I am very experienced with ocean fishing, and I did!) and offered to cut the trip short with an appropriate discount. He also could have offered a variation like a boat tour, some whale watching, something. He talked a lot about the summer and how many boats would be out and how you couldn't pull the salmon in fast enough. Didn't make me feel any better. When we were done, he apologized to my husband for the disappointment and said he did warn me in an email that it might be too early in the season. I do not remember getting any such email. I wouldn't have taken the chance because it was so expensive. So, I am giving it 3 stars because I think if you go in the summer you will have a great time and catch lots of fish. Mark and his boat, very nice. But don't go at the beginning of May and I am dinging off 2 stars because I think Mark knew and should have been more up front about our expectations

June Fishing! Salmon, but we caught a bunch! Good Captain, Chris! We had about 8 hrs off the cruise ship in Ketchikan, and went out with Captain Chris, of Oasis Alaska Charters. He had just arrived in Alaska not too lang prior, and so we were a little worried about our chances, BUT... we caught a bunch of fish, one big enough to keep, and eat. Chris was a good guide and captain. We saw lots of Bald Eagles, and when I went to throw back my rock fish, an Eagle swooped down and grabbed it out of the water. Nice lunch. After fishing, we had the Taxi driver stop at a little food market in Ketchikan, and then take us to a cool little town park up hill from the main street, where we cooked the salmon over a grill, had drinks, and enjoyed our own little picnic. Great fun, then we rode the 'local' bus, across town to the cruise docks. That was a fun experience, we got to ride on the 'non-tourist' side for a bit! Great day! Good fishing, good food.

Not to be missed. This really was an excellent experience - in my mind one of the highlights of my entire Alaska experience. Captain Murray was top notch - would definitely recommend.

1/2 day salmon fishing We had a great time fishing with Oasis , fishing was a little slow that day but still managed some nice Salmon , Mel the shuttle driver was a very nice guy and showed up right on time , Mark and Joann were easy to work with for a couple minor changes to our trip , we opted for a private charter rather than sharing time with other cruise guests and was well worth it ! Best trip ever we will be back. My trip was the most incredible fishing trip ever. Mike had me who just about had a full blown asthma attack after hauling him my halibut and another person who is pretty crippled up and he took great care of us. His main focus was fish and he got us into the fish even the day where the weather was pretty tough. But he also knew I had a passion for photography and gave me opportunities for great shots of porpoises, whales and the best eagle shots I have gotten in my life.

Disabled Veterans fifth annual "Trip of a Lifetime" with Oasis alaska Charters The ownership, Captain and deck hand truly made this a "Trip of a Lifetime" for our Disabled Veteran participants. EPIC The favorite part was catching so many Coho's. Salmon fishing was on my husband's bucket list. We were on a 9-day Alaskan cruise. Fishing was one of the last things we planned. I had hoped and prayed that this fishing adventure would exceed my husband's expectations. It did ON EVERY LEVEL!!!! From the shuttle ride from/to the port, to the boat and captain (Drew), to the weather (sunny, no winds in September), to the fishing EVERYTHING was absolutely wonderful! My 4 hr salmon charter Traveled to Alaska on the NCL Bliss. This was my wife’s dream cruise. Several weeks before I decided to try fishing while in Ketchikan. Knowing full well that our time was limited, I choose Oasis both on reviews and the ability to do a 4 hour trip and still have an hour to spend in town. Captain Des and his first mate proved to be the perfect match.

Hearing that the prior few days were slim pickings did not diminish my excitement for the trip. I wanted the experience of a cruising on a small boat and chasing salmon and Capt Des did not disappoint. Headed out to one of his favorite spots fished about a half hour with one or two bites. Not satisfied pulled anchor and went for about 20 minutes. That’s where I caught my first coho.

He was excited as I was. Dropped line and said to me “you need at least 2 “ I told him wanted to have my family In for a salmon dinner fresh caught. About 30 minutes before having to return, I got my second coho.

The reviews are totally correct, these guys work hard to get fish for their clients . While there are no guarantees in fishing it’s not from their lack of trying . In many cases it is a once in a life time trip. And thanks to first mate Alexis, she did the video of my catching both coho’s and captured some beautiful scenery as well

Family Salmon Fishing in Ketchikan The team at Oasis hosted a great fishing experience for our family. We had a range of ages from 11 to 80 and a mix of inexperienced and experienced anglers. Murray, our guide, handled our group professionally while being entertaining and best of all he tried hard to put us on as much fish as possible. Pickup and drop-off from the cruise terminal was easy. Definitely recommend a trip with Oasis.

Absolutely incredible What an incredible crew and ownership. I scheduled with Oasis charters after everything on our cruise was booked. I am so glad that this was the case. I wanted a charter for 2 which I could not get booking through the cruise anyway. They were the first people to answer the phone call (not a computer voice) talking with Mark and Joanne was a wonderful experience. I called back multiple times after booking our excursion with questions. They were so kind and answered every question I had without making me feel like what I may have been asking was dumb or stupid. It was our first fishing excursion so I had a lot of dumb stuff I was thinking about. When we got to port Mark was right there waiting. When we arrived at the dock for our excursion we met our captain Axl (not sure of spelling). We could not have asked for a better captain for us. He supplied us with great info and an incredible fishing trip. We almost limited out by catching 9 of a possible 12 salmon in our short 4 hr excursion. Fishing experience We went fishing with Oasis Charters on our day in Ketchikan during a cruise. I would highly recommend them! We caught lots of fish and the captain was great to fish with. 5 stars!

Reliable, honest , professional, hard working I had a pleasure dealing with Mark and Joann planning our day in Ketchikan during our cruise. To start with, they informed me that we couldn’t keep any of the King salmon that we catch because of state regulations. So, they agreed to take us bottom fishing, which is normally more expensive. Then, they also honored the coupon that came out after i made my reservation. I communicated with them via email and phone, and the response was always prompt. When we arrived, everything was exactly how it was described on their website. We were met by Captain Thomas, who couldn’t be more accommodating and patient with our sons. We caught and released one King salmon and then caught a bunch of Rock Fish. Again, there was not a hint of irritation when my son asked him the same question for the 100th time. Thomas is very patient and knowledgeable on many types of fish. He tried to find the best location for fishing. On the way back, we saw some bold eagles but not any other wild life. But, that’s just luck. I would not hesitate using this company again, and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Awesome!!!!! This Charter was very well organized and efficient from the very beginning to the end of the trip. I am a planner and they communicated everything to me through emails and answered any questions I had. Everyone involved with the charter were absolutely awesome and very knowledgable. A definite must if your searching that ultimate fishing charter experience.

Oasis Alaskan Charters….One Class Act While on an Alaskan family cruise, we had a very abbreviated stop over in Ketchikan. Unable to book 5 family members on fishing excursion so we went freestyle. Found Oasis Alaskan Charters online and read reviews. Claimed to be 5 star operation so we booked a private charter for just our family.
From the time we got off to the got back on the cruise ship, Oasis demonstrated they were, in fact, a class act. We were picked up at the pier in a private shuttle at the appointed time, taken directly to the chartered fishing boat, introduced to our captain, Bert, then loaded onto the boat and headed out to do some bucket list salmon fishing. We booked a 4 hour charter as we had to be back to the ship 4-1/2 hours after docking. We didn’t think we were going to get anywhere close to 4 hours of fishing but I will tell you, we got pretty close to that but still got back to the marina by 11:00 am.
While fishing, Bert masterfully navigated the boat around both recreational and commercial salmon fishermen while skillfully managing the rigging of 3 fishing poles. Between the 3 fishermen, we caught 13 good sized silver salmon (largest 12 lbs) during the allotted time. Several more were hooked but lost during recovery. A beautiful day to be in the water for sure.
After returning to the dock, Bert unloaded the salmon for us and hung them up for a photo opportunity. He also has explained to us about the procedure and cost for keeping salmon for personal consumption.
The shuttle ride back to the ship was as good as the pickup and we were back at the ship at the appointed embarkation time.
Oasis Alaska Charters is in complete tune with the cruise ship industry and knows how to maximize your time on the water without being concerned about missing your cruise ship.
This company is a class act all the way and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to fish in Ketchikan AK.

What the Halibut?? We booked Oasis independently of our cruise ship while we were in port. Our son made all the arrangements for our family of five, grown sons and daughter in law, and everything went very smoothly. We went out with Captain Hunter and while he was still setting up the the second fishing pole, boom! Caught the first halibut! The hits just kept coming after that!! We had a great fishing experience with Captain Hunter, he was very knowledgeable! All in all we caught our limit in halibut, threw some back to finish growing and we also caught a few Pacific Cod. It was still early in the season, a rainy, cloudy cold day but we had a blast! Definitely book your fishing trip with Oasis when in Ketchikan!!

EPIC The favorite part was catching so many Coho's. Salmon fishing was on my husband's bucket list. We were on a 9-day Alaskan cruise. Fishing was one of the last things we planned. I had hoped and prayed that this fishing adventure would exceed my husband's expectations. It did...ON EVERY LEVEL!!!! From the shuttle ride from/to the port, to the boat and captain (Drew), to the weather (sunny, no winds...in September), to the fishing...EVERYTHING was absolutely wonderful! Can't say enough good things about this company. - Oh yes I can! We had 60 lbs. of salmon filets shipped home to Tennessee. 60 POUNDS OF FILETS!!!! - Thank you Oasis Alaska Charters so much! - P.S. Awesome fishing excursion My husband son son-in-law and friend went fishing on this excursion and caught so many fish they had so much fun and the captain was awesome. We are going to book another cruise next August so I can go fishing with my husband

Will fish with Alaskan Oasis Charters again We flew from Tampa, Fl for 3 days of fishing. We made all our own arrangements, but Mark was very helpful with information about the Ketchikan area. We fished with Capt. Drew who is very knowledgable and helpful, a solid guide. We fished Tue 6hrs for Salmon and Halibut. Limited out on both. Fished Wed for 4hrs and limited on Salmon. Thur was a tough 4hrs targeting Halibut in the same location where we caught them on Tue. Cape Drew worked hard for us and we ended the day jigging a couple more Salmon.

Fantastic Fishing Bad Cab Experience We had a great time with Mike fishing. We caught 5 too short Kings and 5 pink salmon. Loved every second of it and Mike knew just where to go for the action. He was informative and fun. My only issue with our day was not with Oasis but with the Sourdough taxi cab service that brought us there. We were totally scammed in price on the way back to the dock. We were asked to pay double and when we tried to discuss it the driver became irate. We payed the double fee as our son was with us and we didn't want there to be any safety issue. I don't think Oasis is aware of this cab company doing this but I wanted to post as others can be aware and book a different cab service. Other than that unfortunate issue we had a fantastic day fishing.

The most fun you will have In Ketchikan! Oasis Alaska Charters and Captain Murray were phenomenal! Fantastic company, excellent fishing Captains, they know exactly what they’re doing! The communication is great and they make everything flow so smoothly, you can just enjoy the fishing! They really take great care of their guests, and put you right on the fish! They even tried their best to keep us on smooth waters, we were very happy with our experience and plan to fish again with them in the future!

Fun Fishing Trip Captain Murray was an outstanding fishing captain!!!! He was patient with us novice fisherman!!! 🙂 With his expertise we were able to catch 3 halibut, 5 cod, 1 small shark(had to through him back) and numerous bait fish(fun to catch). Halibut and Salmon half day trip. our trip was fantastic. From pick up off ship our driver told us all about the town. we saw a bunch of bald eagles along the way. Our captain Hunter put us right on the fish. My wife and I had 6 halibut in less than an hour but since we could only keep one each he took us to another spot. There we jigged and caught Ling cod.After that we trolled and caught king salmon ang one Cohoes. 4hours of action and had fish shipped to arrive home when we get there. Highly recommend oasis charters!

Great Salmon Fishing experience! My two sons and I had a great experience with Oasis Alaska Charters and captain Drew. It was a slow day but Drew worked constantly to help us find the fish. This was my boys (15 & 21) favorite excursion of our cruise and they had a blast! I would highly recommend the whole crew at Oasis Alaska Charters!

First King of the season Mark was able to take me out when others turned me down because I was the only one fishing. He as well as the others told me that it was still too early in the season for good king fishing. In fact, the cleaning and shipping facility wasn't even open yet. So I either had to go out with the cruise ship charter with a party of 6 and really limit my chances or go out with Mark. It was an easy choice to make. His boat and gear were top quality and his home made smoked salmon, that he brought along for snacks, was the best I ever had. We trolled along with a few other boats that were out there and passed each other several times, but our boat was the only one that was successful, with 2 kings. I attribute this to his knowledge about how deep to fish and how fast to troll. I will definitely book with him again the next time I come up. He is a serious and well-seasoned angler.He and his wife, who joined us, were easy to talk to and we shared fish stories and he told me all about Alaska.Thanks Mark and to your wife, who did a fantastic job filming me on the one hook-up.

Amazing Fishing Trip - Highly recommend - Would definitely book again!!! Hunter (The Predator) was awesome. We caught more salmon than we could have imagined. Can't wait for the salmon to arrive so that we can enjoy it. Our two grandson's and son in law talked about what a great time they had every day during the remainder of the trip. My husband, who could not fish, could not say enough about the experience. We highly recommend this charter. It definitely surpassed any expectations we had.

Great day of salmon fishing Had a great day of fishing with Oasis. In four hours we caught (and released) about 25 salmon in 4 hours. Easy process and the kids had a blast. The NCL cruise we were on leaves very few options at this port and we had a lot more fun and better Alaskan experience in Ketchikan then the rest of our group. Thanks.

No real effort Captain and van driver were very nice. But we paid for a 4 hrs fishing and only got 2.5 hrs. The van driver picked us up at 1123 knowing our ship leaves at 430. It’s a 30-35 min drive to fishing boats from cruise port. Once we got to our boat we waited another 10 mi. For our captain, the other charter packed and left and apparently took the better fishing spot. After 1.5 hrs had to request the captain move to another spot. I’m a seasoned fisherman not a novice who was looking to catch my first any kind fish! I was expecting a better effort from captain and van driver. Problem with tourist charters they know you are leaving on a cruise never to return. Typical tourist trap, not worth $1,600

Amazing Experience and LOTS of fish! Highly recommend this charter. Everything was taken care of and we had a wonderful time fishing. Our guide Drew was top notch and took us to all the good spots! We all loved Drew. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our two teen boys that love fishing (13 and 14) caught over 100 fish in 3 half days including King, pink, coho, chum and halibut. We even saw humpback whales! Their Grandfather came along for the ride and had a wonderful time on the boat. Amazing experience.

Fabulous Fishing Trip We went out on Reel Therapy for 2 full days of fishing with Captain Murray just a week ago. We had an absolutely amazing time! Cpt. Murray was very knowledgeable, personable and a good instructor. We couldn't have had more fun and we caught over 200lbs of fish between the 4 of us. Thanks for a fantastic time!

Great Day!! We were very happy with 95% of our fishing adventure. The weather was perfection, the captain was great! The fish were not cooperating, but we thoroughly understand that is out of their hands. We caught 1 king that was too small to keep, and one beautiful Silver. There were no other bites, very disappointing for the money we paid. Because a previous charter did not want to keep their Pinks, they did offer us to keep them. We happily accepted that offer, and are awaiting our fish. We had a bonus of watching 10 whale breaches during our trip, so that was amazing!! we wouldn't hesitate to go with Oasis again. More

4 Hour Charter off cruise ship on Late August 2018 Although we did not catch anything huge, everyone caught at least one keeper and all had a great time on the charter. Captain Murray was professional, knowledgeable, cheerful, and his boat was more than well maintained, equipped, comfortable, and stocked. We all felt welcome on his boat, and recognized during the charter his efforts to make our brief time on the water as memorable as possible.

Great Time Fishing In Ketchikan My wife, kids and I went out for a 6 hour salmon trip with Captain Hunter. Best captain in the 3 times we have gone to Alaska. Great with kids, easy going, incredibly knowledgeable of the are and had us catching fish the whole time. I know for many going to Alaska is all about the fish count. For us it is more about the experience and being on the water in such a beautiful place. We would have enjoyed this trip even if our fish count was not so high and that says a lot about the area and the Captain. Fishing gear was top of the line, boat was very nice, especially for the area with an indoor area to sit and then a large fishing platform. After we finished processing our catch was a breeze. They come right to the boat and take care of it from there. We now have a freezer full of fresh Alaskan Silver Salmon. We highly recommend this charter service. I know Hunter and the other captains of this group were also working as a team communicating with each-other over the radio trying to get everyone fish on all of their boats. So even if you don't get Captain Hunter, I am positive you will have a great day on the water from the Team Work I saw throughout the day.

Excellent private excursion during port of call Booked a halibut fishing charter for a port of call during a cruise trip. The shuttle was prompt, clean, and fast and we were on the boat minutes after our arrival. Captain was friendly and knowledgeable and had us on the fish we were looking for. As an added bonus he helped us spot the whales and eagles in the area. Great trip with Oasis!

Salmon fishing Our guide, Des was excellent. Very knowledgeable and made our experience very memorable. We caught 12 salmon while out with him.

A great fishing experience on Oasis Alaska Charters Our family of three, including our 16 year old son, went salmon fishing with Mark on Father's Day. It was a great day with warm weather and two salmon caught including a 19 pound king salmon. We enjoyed the first part of the 4 hour charter chatting with Mark about fishing and life in Alaska and then the king hit the bait. Mark did a great job helping me bring the fish into the net and into the boat. They cleaned and filleted the two salmon on the dock and shipped them home frozen so they would arrive the day we got home. We booked this charter independently prior to sailing on the Celebrity Solstice. This saved us some money and allowed us to pick the charter we wanted rather than take pot luck with whatever the cruise line lined up for us. Plus we had the entire boat to ourselves. We took a cab to the marina and Mark met us there. We were able to get our fishing licences at the marina.We got back in plenty of time walk around Ketchikan and get to the ship on time. The fishing charter with Oasis and Mark was the highlight of our cruise to Alaska. Oh...and the fish is delicious.
